…because I’m expecting a USPS package delivery tomorrow. And I’m hoping one of the good mailmen will be on the route: good meaning in this instance that he’ll knock on the door loud enough to wake me and wait long enough for me to make it to the door.

But realizing it’s possible one of the “light, timid knockers” will be on the route, I’ll be sleeping lightly (probably), and scurrying to the door every time I here a sound in the hallway that might possibly be a mailman.
