I don’t know why, but defrosting my little refrigerator is one of those household chores I always put off as long as I can. It’s not particularly hard. As a matter of fact it’s dead simple. But it’s incredibly boring and time-consuming.

This time I’ve put it off for longer than I should have. The door to my little freezer compartment is so frost-bound that it’ll only open about an inch or so.

Tomorrow I’m planning to do some significant grocery shopping, and will pick up many things that’ll go right into the fridge. But now the fridge is emptier than normal.

So now I’m doing the defrosting thing. The items that were in there are now out of there, grouped together in a couple of heavy canvas bags so they’ll stay cool. And the defrosting… this time it’ll take awhile.
